AWR UPPER MOTOR MOUNT

Awesome upgrade. Went with 70 bushing and vibrations settled after a week. Near as I can feel, torque steer is gone

Huge upgrade over stock! - 88a durometer

Like most Fiesta’s my stock one was completely shot and making noise. The AWR mount is much beefier and is a quick install. I went with the 88a durometer bushing, which definitely has more NVH but not unbearable (haven’t hit the 500 mile break in period yet either). Noticeable improvement in shifter feel, less wheel hop, and reduced torque steer. Wish I had done it sooner!

Significant benefits

I had the cold weather rattle from the passenger side indicative of a failing motor mount for two years and finally addressed it. Wish I had done so from Day 1, over a decade ago. My car always had a tendency to pull left under load. Tried chassis bracing, subframe alignment shims (first Stiff Rings up front then the Whoosh kit front and rear), a rear motor mount... Figured it was just torque steer and nothing would fix it. This did! With the 62 Durometer bushing, there is minimal increase in noise and vibration.

No installation instructions are included, but it's easy to do. Unbolt the low pressure AC line, remove the passenger headlight, lift the coolant overflow bottle off its mounting tabs, unplug the coolant level sensor, and set the bottle in the spot of the headlight. Place a jack under the oil pan and lift until there is the slightest of pressure. You're just trying to keep the motor in place, don't crush your oil pan! Unbolt the old mount, you need a 15mm and 19mm socket. Place the three included spacers on the motor bolts before installing the new mount. Replace the 15mm bolts and 19mm nuts, fully torquing only after all 6 are in place. Tighten the nut/bolt on the mount itself. Drop the jack, reinstall the coolant bottle, headlight, and bolt down the AC line. Go for a drive.
