When the Ford Fiesta was finally introduced to the North American market, the engineers at Thermal were eager to get their hands on the car and see what we could do with the sound and performance.

We started with the cat back system, keeping in mind the downpipe for the full turbo-back systems would be necessary. A 3” system made was the ultimate choice, and the dual polished 2.5” stainless tips gave the system a more finished aftermarket look.

To address the drone issues that can arise from the larger 3” tubing we added a straight through resonator on the mid-pipe and a resonator on the rear section. This allows for no restriction when accelerating, but deflects the unpleasant tones that can creep in while cruising.

This allows for no restriction when accelerating, but deflects the unpleasant tones that can creep in while cruising. Overall, the Fiesta ST Catback exhaust is a system that we are very excited about launching alongside our popular Focus ST system and soon to come Focus RS system.

Very nice sounding exhaust! Thermal R & D

I am more than happy with this exhaust. Absolutely no droning and was an easy install for me with a floor jack and jack stands.
Thanks again Thermal & Ron at WhooshMotorSports

Best sounding catback for the platform

Expensive but definitely my favorite exhaust for the fiesta st. Installation is pretty simple and can be done with the car on jack stands but is definitely more ideal on a lift. I've done two, one using each method.

Made the car feel complete

I initially did a resonator delete on a stock system, then went on to do a full intake, s280, etc. I was hesitant to get the thermal but it honestly made the car feel complete and much more enjoyable to drive. No drone is present when cruising in 5th or 6th, and the black tips are nice in my opinion.

Even better than expected

For months I had been looking at all exhausts I could, listening to clips on you tube, inspecting local ST's running aftermarket exhausts. I never ran into Thermal R & D in person, so I took a bit of a leap relying on sound from a laptop or phone audio. By a mile this exhaust sounds the best on subpar audio and in person it gave me the tingles. I second the comment about the dual tips could look cleaner if they were staggered, but that is the only thing. They still look good in black though.

Perfect

I paired this exhaust with the Whoosh 3" catless DP, and it's exactly what I wanted, but didn't think I would get on the first try. Deep tone, quiet when putting around, burbles and bubbles off throttle at low RPM, snorts angrily between shifts, pops just often enough to be hilarious without being annoying, and sounds angry as hell, not raspy, on WOT. The quality is fantastic, the black tips look great, stay relatively cool, and the aluminum brace is a very nice touch aesthetically, as well as functionally. I am very picky, but I really can't think of a single negative thing to say...staggered tips would be nice, I guess. Whatever, get new tips. This exhaust is second to none
