DNA Racing rear strut bar with tie rods kit 2014-2019 Fiesta ST

$ 230.00
<

Designed to reduce the movements of the frame, the bar is able to transmit, contain and distribute the forces generated on the frame increasing the rigidity.

Designed to improve chassis rigidity by tying the two strut towers together and with the main chassis, it transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering, tying the two towers together and reducing chassis deformation.

The results are a better handling, a more precise steering system and a better suspension characteristic angles control. The system also includes two lateral tie rods which increase the stiffness of the side members.

The lateral rods are designed in a way to mainly not reduce the luggage compartment volume.

DANGER! Do not use this bar to fix 4-5 points seat belts.

Should definitely come with instructions (I had to email Ron to contact DNA for them), but a grea...

Installing these involves removing your rear wheels to remove the top strut bolts and replace them with the longer included ones, adding the brackets to the top of the strut assemblies (behind the carpet in the hatch), add the included nuts to secure the brackets, and add the bar. Adding the tie rods is easy, you just remove the two small plastic supports for the floor to reach the T50 bolt, unbolt it and place the tie rods in place, then bolt it back down. You'll have to cut slits in your carpet for the brackets to poke through, and the floor requires modification/cutting to fit around the tie rods if you intend to reinstall it. After all that though, I do notice more of an "oversteer" feeling added to the car and it feels more solid in corners because of it; it doesn't feel like it's "plowing" forward at all. The metal feels really sturdy, but is quite light. Everything lined up as it was supposed to.
