PROS:
Comes packaged extremely well. Huge compared to OEM. It's basically a factory intercooler with a much larger core sitting in front of it to create the stepped shape. Bolted right up to the factory mount perfectly. Comes with a hole to relocate the ambient air temperature (AAT) sensor. Welds and fit/finish are great.
CONS:
Cold side hose can be extremely difficult to install due to space constraints. Would be a much improved design for the cold side to come straight out of the intercooler like the hot side does, with a 90° hose that goes up behind the radiator (see photos). The design basically copies the angle of the cold side outlet and hose to match factory. Due to this, if you have normal/large hands this part of the install will be unnecessarily difficult. Just note that you will also need to bend/cut the bracket out of the way for the AAT sensor as it interferes with the larger core.
I would say 4.5 stars if I could just due not including any kind of install instructions. Keep in mind this will not increase throttle response or anything like that. Car feels identical to stock but pulls in warm weather are now more consistent and powerful when the car would usually start to pull timing. Overall very satisfied with the product. Arguably the best intercooler available in 2025 for the platform.
This intercooler is a must have for anyone imo looking to tuning their EN. It just feels more efficient and much snappier. Turbo spools up faster. Biggest thing and probably the best thing it keeps the car engine temp consistently cooler over oem. Ron @ Whoosh motorsports offers this item cheaper than anyone and shipped it out to me in a very timely manner. Thank you!
Well-built intercooler at a great price. Compared to other brands, I liked the fact that this intercooler is bigger, which, hopefully, reduces air temperature much better. No issues with installation and fitment. Noticed a great temperature drop compared to the OEM intercooler.
